Sales Consultant (Immediate Need)

We have an opening for a sales consultant.  The sales consultant works closely with marketing.  The sales consultant's duties include:

• Field inquiries about our services to prospective clients
• Seek new business relationships
• Represent the company at events and trade shows
• Prepare proposals
• Follow up with prospective and current client needs 
• Deliver excellent service

Other skills include professionalism, an understanding of the web development process, and a quick learner.

Director of Client Service

We have an opening for a director of client service.  The main responsibilities include:

• Offer technical support and excellent client service
• Train clients on how to manage their websites
• Billing and invoicing
• Receptionist duties

Skills such as professionalism, the ability to deliver a good first impression, telephone skills, and excellent people skills are a must.  An understanding of web development is also important.

Full Time Graphic Designer (Ongoing)

Velocity Webworks is seeking an experienced graphic designer to join their team.  The graphic designer will be responsible for designing websites for a variety of businesses.  The work environment is fun, creative, and close-knit.  Our clients are awesome and appreciate creative talent. 

The ideal candidate should have all of these qualities:

• Experience developing websites for others (please include URLs of sites designed when contacting us)
• Up to speed on latest HTML and design best practices
• Dreams in CSS, has nightmares about Comic Sans MS becoming the new Helvetica
• Enjoys typography and photography
• Proficient in the Adobe creative suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)
• Comfortable speaking with clients over the phone
• Attention to detail
• Customer service experience
• Comfortable managing other graphic designers and helping them become proficient.

Online Marketing Specialist (Ongoing)

Velocity Webworks is a fast-growing web development company based in St. George, Utah.  We are currently recruiting talented individuals with a passion for marketing, business development, and technology to join our online marketing team.  Work side-by-side with professionals and serve our awesome clients from all over the USA.

Those studying or graduated (or equivalent) in Business, Communication, CIT / (CS or VT), or Accounting would enjoy this position. Part time and full time positions available.

No specific online marketing experience necessary (we'll train the right candidates on all of the details).  A solid understanding of the following are necessary:

* The Web
* Working HTML knowledge
* Facebook
* Blogs
* Must have an analytical mind
* Attention to detail is a must
* A great communicator (both written and verbal)
* Can type proficiently
* Excellent Nerf gun handling skills

Python / Web Software Developer (Ongoing)

We are looking for talented software developers who enjoy building custom web-based applications that users love. We emphasize quality, adhere to agile software development principles, and focus on exceeding our client's expectations in all of our undertakings.

About the position:

This is an in-house, full time position to join a team of 5 other software developers.  If you have the right ingredients, and if you're a fast learner, you'll be a great fit.

* Great attitude and work ethic is a must.
* Passion for building great websites, delivering excellent client service
* Must work well on your own and as a team
* Excellent written and verbal skills
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS, CIS, or CIT

In addition to the above essential characteristics, the following skills are needed:

* 3+ years experience in web development (standards-compliant HTML, semantic markup, CSS 2 + CSS 3)
* 3+ years experience object-oriented software development.  Thorough python language experience preferred.  PHP, Java, Ruby, C++ acceptable.
* 1+ year experience in JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. jQuery)
* Linux desktop, Linux shell (command-line)
* Git, svn, etc.
* MVC framework experience is a plus (e.g Django, Rails, CakePHP, Zend, etc.)
